Liberland’s UN-Recognized Metaverse Unveiled

Liberland, situated between Serbia and Croatia and not officially recognized by the United Nations, has initiated the creation of its own metaverse.

This region, aspiring to be acknowledged as an independent nation, spans 7 kilometers. It is reported that currently, Liberland is home to 7,000 residents and is processing 700,000 citizenship applications.

Further details reveal that Liberland has partnered with the UK-based Zaha Hadid Architects for the development of this metaverse project.

The virtual platform is designed to enable Liberland citizens to establish a network utilizing Web3 technologies. Visitors to the platform will have the opportunity to explore and tour various touristic areas, including the town hall, plazas, and exhibitions.


Liberland has a president named Vit Jedlička, although it is not officially recognized.

Although not officially recognized, Liberland has a president, Vit Jedlička. Espousing libertarian ideals, Jedlička characterizes Liberland as a country that encapsulates the finest aspects of the US republic, Swiss democracy, and Singaporean meritocracy.

Patrik Schumacher, the principal architect at Zaha Hadid Architects, asserts that Liberland’s metaverse is as real as the physical reality observed in cities.
